It's not like the game hasn't thrown in goofilly ancient weapons made in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Overall I think there's a degree of eh let people have what they want. Is the weapon seemingly designed with primarily wood and/or metals? Then it works for me. A fan of modern weapons and miss them? Throw them in the game! Personally, I think that modern weapon and armor that I install is more accepting of "modern" weapons but it's a bit specific. It can be fun to have whatever you want in your game.
